A Sad Day for the Gunners: Thierry the Talisman a Barca Boy

Busy Transfer Window Friday, but there is nothing out there that tops this...

Thierry Henry is on his way to Barcelona.

The 30 year old French striker and Arsenal Gunner for 8 years will be at Nou Camp next year in exchange for $32 million. Barcelona has been courting Henry for a year now and hints kept piling up with the last straw being Henry's friend and Barcelona striker Samuel E'too seeming rather positive Henry would sign. Unfortunately, does that seal E'too's fate as potential transfer bait?

Henry appeared 254 times for the Gunners and under Arsene Wenger's tutelage (who is now linked with a possible Real Madrid opening) scored an amazing 174 goals. No doubt he will prosper with Barcelona and this most likely dispels any rumors that Ronaldinho would be on his way to AC Milan (as Ronaldinho has wanted to play with Henry for a long time now). Thierry had just recently inked a long extension with Arsenal, but Barcelona's persistence and financial clout seems to have nullified that. Barcelona, Spanish newspapers, radio stations (the infamous Cadena Ser station which reported first Real Madrid's Beckham and Ronaldo signings), and even Skysports and Soccernet have confirmed it, but Henry's agent still contends that there has been no agreement made yet.

Imagine: Deco, Ronaldinho, Messi, E'too, Xavi, Henry. With Henry transplanting to La Liga, thousands of fans undoubtedly go with him. The Real Madrid/Barcelona battle next season will be a spectacle yet again.

- Manchester United's Italian target Fabio Quagliarella is now fully an Udinese player. The Sampdoria player was co-owned by Udinese and due to Udi's loss of Vincenzo Iaquinta to Juventus recently, they needed a striker desparately.
