Puntarenas beats Houston...still the home leg to go.

Mid-day Updates

Puntarenas 1, Houston 0 (CONCACAF Champions Cup)

*Apparently even with a Zach Wells PK save, the boys in Orange still lost 1-0. Don't get me wrong, that is a lot easier to overcome than 2-0. Where was Ching though? I hope two weeks gives them time to prepare.

Everton 1, Tottenham 2 (PREMIERSHIP)

*A last minute Jermaine Jenas goal saw Timmy Howard and the Toffees beaten. Mikel Arteta scored like I said he would, but no Leon Osman goal and NO Toffees 2-1 win like I predicted. Arteta and Berbatov score for their respective teams.

Porto 1, Chelsea 1
Roma 0, Lyon 0
Inter Milan 2, Valencia 2 (UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE)

Good on Valencia and Lyon, holding out away. These scores mean a lot more than you think. The ever interesting "away goal rule" mixed with a home-field advantage at Stade de Gerland and the Mestalla Stadium seems to do well for well....just Valencia it seems. But at least Lyon is at home. For Inter, Cambiasso and Maicon scored and for Valencia, it was 'Dahhveeed' Villa and "last gasp" Silva (as Soccernet so humbly puts it). Despite Chelsea's advantage, I still say Porto will come out on top. Jose's old team wouldn't have it any other way.

Barca 1, Liverpool 2!!!

*Phenomonal. Enough said. I hate Bellamy with a passion but damn, do I love upsets. It is funny and ironic that the other person who scored for Liverpool was none other than John Arne Riise, Craig Bellamy's sparring partner. Maybe Rafa Benitez should fine them every week!!
