News Brief: Tevez on loan to Man Utd likely, Zenden to Marseille

Getting ready to head down to Frank Clair Stadium in Lansdowne Park. Biggest surprise so far: several Canadians tried to convince us Americans that Chad Kroeger and Nickelback were the most influential and talented musicians to come out of Canada. Hmmm...

Carlos Tevez is delighted with the fact he might end up with Manchester United and the loan capture, reported to be a 2 year, could be the final piece of the repeat puzzle. To have Tevez at your disposal and around to push the other new signings Anderson and Nani, Man Utd's squad should be real tough to beat (as if we wouldn't have already guessed that). Negatives? Not many...as the legal proceedings have died down and what not, but some could say that with the addition of Nani, Anderson, and Tevez - where is the injection of young English talent? This deal is not complete yet - but is very close.

Rafa Benitez's roster turnover victims have started to find homes. For Bolo Zenden, that home is Marseille - who after several years of rather mediocre results and more recently the loss of big French talent Franck Ribery are looking to find someway to get back to the top of Ligue One. Olympique Lyonnais are sorting out their transfer targets after losing Eric Abidal to Barcelona for a rather pretty penny.
