A lack of hat-tricks today. DaMarcus Beasley's Glasgow Rangers destroyed Falkirk 7-2 and there were two braces by Jean-Claude Darcheville and new signing Daniel Cousin, but NO hat-tricks. The Brazilian U-17s crushed the New Zealand U-17s 7-0 in the start of the U-17 World Championship in South Korea. But no hat-trick. The ONLY hat-trick scored today - in fact - was scored by an American! (This is barring the results yet to be determined in MLS tonight).

Last year's USL scoring champ Cam Weaver struck for three in Haugesund's thorough scoring lesson for lower league squad NIL-Trysil. The 24-year old has had minimal time for his relatively new squad, but not much to show for it. I think they'll know this former Seattle Sounder's name from now on.
