Quick lunch-break news!

Lucas Leiva, young Gremio midfielder, Brazil hopeful, and one of Because I Think...'s favorite young'uns, has been targeted and quite possibly snapped up by Liverpool. The price is apparently $16 million and the 20-year old looks to fit in nicely with Javier Mascherano, Sissoko, and Xabi Alonso. If he fits in as well as Denilson has at Arsenal, Liverpool looks to continue being dangerous.

In other news:

Robbie Fowler will be leaving Liverpool in the summer. A heavy MLS transfer target still and I would love to see him in the States.

Lawrie Sanchez, the stand-in Fulham boss, has just made his position permanent. Unfortunately, someone has to pay, and now it is leader-less Northern Ireland. Could Lawrie become the next the champion of American players?

Real Salt Lake has released striker Luis Tejada for fitness reasons. On ESPN2, Real Salt Lake and Colorado played to a 1-1 draw and both goals were own goals - Jack Stewart (the least solid of RSL's rearguard) and Pablo Mastroeni knocked them in respectively.
