Emily Pease, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Hameur Bouazza = Awesome

English Premiership

Fulham 1, Manchester City 3

Two Americans in the Premiership score in the same game. It's been a while since that happened. In fact, can someone find out when that did happen? DaMarcus Beasley tallied for the Citizens and Carlos Bocanegra scored the lone goal for Fulham. Darius Vassell also scored for Man City. Remember when he was an English international?

FUL: Bocanegra (76)
MNC: J. Barton (21), Beasley (36), D. Vassell (59)

Watford 4, Portsmouth 2

I love it when I'm right. Even though I had to wait awhile, young'un Hameur Bouazza displayed his chops against Pompey today registering two goals. It was Watford's 4th win only this campaign. Portsmouth came down to earth after a win against Manchester United this past weekend by losing to the worst team in the league.

WAT: H. Bouazza (pen 28, 73), A. Mahon (45), Priskin (51)
POR: M. Taylor (16), A. Mvuemba (81)

Newcastle 0, Arsenal 0

Oguchi Onyewu played all 90 minutes in what would have been a tumultuous game for Arsenal. What's the least it would it take for Arsene Wenger to get fired?? In a game that was fairly even, James Milner's near crossbar miss could have put Wenger on the hotseat as Arsenal would have lost its' third in a row.

NEW: NONE
ARS: NONE

Charlton 0, Reading 0

To me, Reading helped Charlton delay the inevitable by allowing them a point. Reading had their number away from home but couldn't finish. Charlton's unsung heroes were definitely the middle men Zheng Zhi and Alexandre Song. Reading played solidly as always without a finishing touch. They really are missing early season form Seol Ki-Hyeon.

CHA: NONE
RDG: NONE

Aston Villa 1, Wigan 1

Wigan: 1 shot on goal, 1 shot. Aston Villa dominated and yet couldn't come away with the win. New contract signee Gabriel Agbonlahor assured the tie in what was a very frustrating game for the Villans. 37-year old stud John Filan was probably the man of the match with another great performance in between the posts.

AST: Agbonlahor (50)
WIG: E. Heskey (21)

Bolton 1, Everton 1

A great game overall, but a scary moment. Young'un 18 year old James Vaughan, a scorer of 2 goals in the past 4 Premiership contests, suffered a severed artery. Yea. That sounds bad. Really bad, but apparently he could be back as early as this weekend or after only one missed game. The doctor's order was to "keep his leg elevated". Timmy Howard was a rock in goal as usual.

BOL: K. Davies (18)
EVE: J. Vaughan (33)

Do you get paid to write all of this? The sheer volume and detail is astounding. You should blog for ESPN... your lone-man soccer coverage in this blog pretty much would outdo all of the soccer coverage combined on any major American website.

Loved the MLS preview. I watched the Rapids game myself since it is the only thing I can get without cable. :( DC United just looked plain tired to me.

You should ask Brion Schreffler (AC Milan's captain). He used to write for PhillyBlog regularly on Primership. Get enough material and start drawing a few ads. Eventually I'll get around to linking to you on Casa :) once some free time opens up.
